Our birthday is here! Today, Queen of PAWNS is 18 years old. We feel so fortunate to have been serving Florida for this long. What a fantastic journey it has been so far. It all started, this day, March 25, 1995 when we opened our first store in Lake Worth at 3380 South Military Trail. We now call that location our “Heritage Store,” and was the first pawnshop to offer 10% pawn in Florida. To this day, we are still faithful to our mantra, “THE LOWEST RATES IN THE INDUSTRY.”

It was a time when Friends, Seinfeld and The X Files topped television ratings. Theaters were entertaining us with Toy Story, Batman Forever (with Val Kilmer), Se7en, Clueless and Waterworld. Back in 1995, when we opened the doors to our Heritage Store, televisions still had tubes, a flatscreen was hardly thin, video tape players still reigned in the standard home, cell phones had antennae and James Bond started wearing Omega watches. Trends and technology have come a long way since then - fast forward to 2013 and Queen of PAWNS is still keeping pace every step of the way.

What a great run it has been! Even after 18 years, we still love to get up in the morning and come to the “office.” Everyday, we get to see old friends and meet new ones. How cool is that? It hardly seems like work to have the good fortune to be doing our passion - all thanks to our awesome customers. From the bottom of our hearts, we say “Thank you, Florida, for believing in us, year after year.”
